Madhubani paintings originated in Nepal and the Mithila region of Bihar. One of the ancient painting styles in the world for more than thousand years. The knowledge was passed down by women from generation to generation and the paintings began to adorn the houses of the region.

The women of the village practiced these paintings on the walls of their respective home. Their paintings often illustrated their thoughts, hopes and dreams.

The material of this hand mirror was made by Nepali traditional handmade paper which is 2000years old technique and one of the ancient traditional crafts from the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal. The Daphne Bush (Lokta) used in its production is found at the altitude of between 6500ft. to 9500ft. By cutting its young steam and foot from the ground, trees kept alive thus to protect ecological balance. And all the leftover from cutting the paper will be recycled back into paper making processing.
